Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the details you send through the enquiry form on this site.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Who is responsible for your data

The controller details for this site are being finalised and will be published here. In the meantime, use the enquiry form to raise any question about data held about you and it will be actioned.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form we store:

  • Your name and phone number (required to respond to you)
  • Your email address, site postcode, job type and timescale, if you give them
  • Any details you write in the message field
  • The page the enquiry came from, and the date and time
  • Your browser user-agent string and the country your request came from

We do not store your IP address — only the two-letter country code that accompanies the request, which is used to identify automated and junk submissions.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

Enquiry details are held so that we can reply to you, prepare a quote and carry out work you ask for. The lawful basis is legitimate interests— responding to an enquiry you chose to send — and, where the enquiry leads to work, performance of a contract.

Who it is shared with

  • Cloudflare hosts this site and stores enquiries in a database located in Western Europe.
  • Resend delivers the notification email that alerts us to a new enquiry.
  • Where an enquiry is passed to a contractor to carry out the work, your contact details and job description are shared with them for that purpose.

Your details are never sold, and are not used for marketing.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for up to two years from the date they are sent, so that we can pick up a conversation about a job that was postponed. After that they are deleted. Where work was carried out, records may be kept longer where tax or insurance rules require it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to it being held, or ask for it to be restricted. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
