Is concrete cutting precise?
Yes. Diamond cutting grinds through the material rather than hammering it, so it leaves clean, square edges that need little making good. Track-mounted wall saws follow a guide rail, and saws can be set to a specific depth, so slabs can be cut without disturbing services below. Sawn joint depth is typically held to within about 6mm. Core drilling gives neat, accurately placed holes from 20 to 600mm at any angle. Because there is no shock through the structure, surrounding concrete is not cracked or loosened. Where a saw will not fit, stitch drilling with overlapping cores keeps the line accurate. Precision still depends on good marking out and a survey, which we carry out on structural work.
