How difficult is concrete cutting?

Concrete cutting is difficult to do well, mainly because of what you cannot see. Rebar, conduits and post-tension cables hide inside slabs, which is why professionals scan with ground penetrating radar before cutting. Operators also manage depth, slurry and silica dust, which HSE guidance warns can cause serious lung disease such as silicosis, and plan how cut sections will be lifted out and leave site. Structural or load-bearing cuts need surveying first. A hired saw can handle a small, simple job, but mistakes are costly. London Concrete Cutting uses CSCS-carded operatives, picks the right method for your material and access, and surveys structural work before quoting. Anything beyond a simple hole is safer with a specialist.
